Filmed in the streets of Medellin, Colombia, the film documents the lives of three characters confronted on a daily basis with the unchecked violence that assails the country. Dario is a taxi driver. He reports a kidnapping incident of which he was a victim together with a passenger, that almost ends in tragedy. Edwin is a policeman who saw his father - also a policeman - cruelly assassinated by outlaws. Finally, we are introduced to Luis Carlos, an unassuming man who attained financial success profiting from violence.

FRANÇOIS BOVY

Born in 1968, in Puidoux, Switzerland. He studied at École Cantonale d`Art Lausanne, from where he graduated as audiovisual director, in 1994. He has, since then, worked as cinematographer in countless documentaries and reports. Melodias is his first feature.
