Nurse Marie-Jo is in love with Daniel, a house builder, and has a daughter by him. Marie-Jo is also in love with Marco. One day, she decides to leave Daniel and go and live with Marco. Her husband is to await her return without violence. The situation turns tragic in the measure in which the characters are caught in a cruel game of a hypothetical perfect balance that will supposedly bring satisfaction, not only sexual, but also affective, to the three involved. The story takes place in Marseille and endeavors to enhance the social characteristics of the protagonists, the middle class in the south of France.
