Antonio is a driver and loves what he does. His profession enables him to keep on the move from one place to another, with no fixed destination. His fate is in the hands of his customers, but he does not particularly mind this, for, between one run and another, he can indulge in his passions in life. One of these is science fiction, a creative universe where Morgan, his imaginary alterego, lives. Another of his passions is Maria, a young mother who incurred in debt to set up a business in frozen foods and who now lacks the wherewithal to pay off her debt. For Maria, Antonio is willing to take on the debt and greater risks. “In my stories, the protagonists are somewhat like castaways, invariably on the verge of losing out. They are not winners, they do not cash in on anything, and can not take advantage of their mistakes”, says director Giuseppe Piccioni.
