Wherever performance artist Heinrich Lüber appears, the laws of physics seem to have been suspended. Whether he is floating high above the ground on the side of a building, extruding a large bird from his throat, or standing in the middle of the sea on the head of his own doppelganger, he is always assured the incredulous admiration of passersby. Lüber’s stunts amaze, amuse and fascinate. They move back and forth across the line between spectacle and poetry. Lüber Aloft is much more than a portrait of the artist – it is a voyage into a world of images in which we are oblivious to space and time.

ANNA LYDIA FLORIN

Estudou Alemão, Cinema e Artes Cênicas na Universidade de Zurique. Seu trabalho de conclusão de curso, Aufhellungen im Laufe des Tages, foi premiado na categoria estudantil pelo Departamento Federal de Cultura Suíço (FDHA Suíça). Desde então, trabalha como documentarista freelancer e como conferencista na Escola de Artes de Berna, tendo ganhado uma bolsa de seis meses na residência artística Cité Internationale des Arts, em Paris, e uma bolsa para jovens artistas do distrito de Grisons, na Suíça. Em 2004, ela fez um documentário para a TV intitulado Henry Levy – Unternehmen Kunst para o programa Sternstunde Kunst da TV suíça e da 3Sat. Seguiu-se Jugend im Prättigau, um filme encomendado para o projeto dos Alpes Walser da União Européia. Lüber Aloft é seu primeiro longa documentário.
