In 1979, the Sandinista Popular Revolution triumphs in Nicaragua. The new government organizes a National Literacy Campaign. Several protagonists of this crusade remember the circumstances in which this episode of the revolution occurred. One hundred thousand volunteers, among which high school students, teachers and support team take part in the Citizens? Literacy Army. At the same time it narrates the historical episode, the documentary accompanies one of the members of the so-called “brigade” until the place where his educational work took place, making again the a journey that has deeply marked his life.

Mônica Bernuy Born in Madrid in 1968. She has studied architecture but has developed her career in film and television, working as an art director in films like Marta y Alrededores (by Jesús Ruiz and Nancho Pérez, 2000), Las Voces de la Noche (by Salvador García Ruiz, 2003) and O Amor en Defensa Propia (by Rafa Russo, 2005). Miquel Carrillo Born in Barcelona in 1972, he has studied engineering. He works in the field of international cooperation and development and has worked in several countries in Latin America and Africa.
