It’ 3:07 a.m. and two girls pull down the door of an abandoned public bathroom. Joanne can‚Äôt stop her tears and her clothes are completely torn. Kelly’ face is hurt and begins to swell. Duncan Allen is in his bathroom bleeding ‚Äòtil death. Duncan’ son, Stuart, meets his father and claims for answers. Derek, Kelly’ pimp, needs to find her or he will pay the price. Kelly and Joanne need to survive the next 24 hours. It won, among other prizes, the Best Achievement in Production at the British Independent Film Awards, the New Director’ Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and the Jury Prize for an UK feature at the Raindance Film Festival, all in 2006.

PAUL ANDREW WILLIAMS

He was born in Portsmouth and studied Acting at the London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts. He wrote and directed the shorts Sugar (2000), The Thief (2000), Royalty (2001), The Weight of Coins (2002), and It’s Okay to Drink Whiskey (2003). London to Brighton is his first feature.
