The documentary about the demise of apartheid tells the story of Jean-Yves Olliver, alias “Monsieur Jacques”, whose behind-the-scenes bargaining was instrumental in bringing about regional peace and the end of racial discrimination in South Africa.

MANDY JACOBSON

Born in South Africa. Her first feature film was the documentary Calling the Ghosts: A Film about Rape, War and Women in Bosnia (1996, 21a Mostra). She has produced and directed TV programs in the USA, Brazil, Bosnia, Rwanda, Bangladesh, Cuba and South Africa. Plot for Peace is her second feature film.
CARLOS AGULLÓ
CARLOS AGULLÓ

Born in Spain in 1974. He worked as an assistant editor in Alejandro Amenábar’s The Sea Inside (2004) and later as film editor for Spanish movies and TV series. Agulló directed the short films The Gift (2006), The Wait (2008), Ana Cronia (2008), Pizza Eli (2008) and Next Station (2011). Plot for Peace (2013), his first feature, won the Jury Prize and the Audience Award, both in the best documentary category, at the 37 th Mostra. All the Other Days is his second feature film.
