A day in April 2017. Spain has reached the nadir of its recession with over seven million unemployed and over three million homes standing empty because their owners are drowning in debt. A couple who parted years ago meet in a futuristic-looking warehouse. Just as the warehouse was never completed, their relationship too was cut short, when, after a tragic event, they went their separate ways. Now he has decided to turn the past into a novel.

Isabel Coixet

Born in Barcelona in 1960. Her first short film, Mira Y Verás (1984) was presented at Mostra. She directed features films like Things I Never Told You (1996), Those Who Love (1998), My Life Without Me (2003), The Secret Life of Words (2005, 30th Mostra), a segment of Paris, Je T’aime (2006, 30th Mostra), Invisibles (2007, 31st Mostra), Elegy (2008), Map of the Sounds of Tokyo (2009), Yesterday Never Ends (2013, 37th Mostra), Another Me (2013), Learning to Drive (2014), Endless Night (2015), The Bookshop (2017), Elisa & Marcela (2019) and It Snows in Benidorm (2020), presented and awarded at film festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, Venice and Toronto.
