A story about people whose marriage has, for a long time now, been progressing from one crisis to another - couples who have been thinking of divorce, but who decided to give themselves a new chance and continue the relationship. This is the case for Mia, 36, and Juha, 44, who are on their way to a Camp for a Better Marriage, in a rural zone in Finland. Mia and Juha have been together for 13 years, and the last three were the most difficult with too much work for both of them, financial difficulties, treachery, jealousy, and sexual frustration, hate and deception. At the camp they meet Aila, 35 and Lasse, 44, whose childless marriage, after six years, is beginning to show signs of wear. For one week, both couples are to attend sessions in one same room, give voice to distress, and reveal their innermost anguish.
