Jay and Silent Bob leave New Jersey bound for California. They want to prevent their reputation from being marred because of a film version of the comics magazine inspired by them. In addition to not receiving any money for the film version of their story, they discover they are being criticized in no uncertain terms by their fans on the internet. They accuse Jay and Silent Bob of having sold themselves. To put an end to this misunderstanding and, if possible, to rake in some money, the twosome take to the road. Jay and Silent Bob can be seen in others Kevin Smith?s movies, like Clerks and Dogma.

Nascido em Highlands, New Jersey, em 1970, Kevin Smith começou sua carreira no cinema com o barato e aclamado O Balconista (Clerks), em 1994, realizando no ano seguinte, Mallrats. Seu mais recente trabalho, Chasing Amy, é o terceiro filme de sua trilogia "New Jersey" sobre comportamentos e atitudes da geração X.
