Natalia left Argentina one night in 1975 after her boyfriend disappeared mysteriously at the hands of the military. Since then, she has never again seen her sister Elena. Now Natália is on her way from Madrid to Texas, to visit her sister who has moved to the United States with her husband and son. In Elena?s house, Natália finds a book written by their father, telling the story of the family during the years of dictatorship. Reading makes her remember her last days in Argentina and the last encounter she would have had with Martin. Who would know where he might be? The answer should be in the final part of her father?s manuscript, but that has disappeared.
