Ah Ming has made up his mind. He is going to leave Hong Kong and set out in search of his older brother who ran away from home three years before and was never again heard of. The last indication of his whereabouts is a letter and a photograph sent from the remote village of Qinghai in Chinese Tibet. After a long and solitary voyage, he comes to the village. Photograph in hand, he begins to ask about his brother. When he sees the photograph, a motorcyclist runs away, lending an air of mystery to the time spent by the brother on the site. In his investigation, Ah Ming eventually comes across a film in Super 8 and a map of China where the brother marked the sites visited. He may not find him again, but he will try to make up for lost time undertaking a new journey in his brother’s footsteps.
