Intimacy

A man and a woman, Jay and Claire. She pays a visit to him every Wednesday afternoon for only one reason - sex. They yield one to the other without a single word. The taxi waits outside. She arrives, they shed their clothes, feel somewhat embarrassed for a few moments... But they can never find anything to say. Claire gets dressed and leaves. Jay has just abandoned his wife and children, without any sign of a warning, without a word. He now lives alone in a third-rate apartment. When Claire arrives, he takes her to an attic, a place without any furniture, only a few recordings, a bed, and sheets, an environment that would seem to belong on another plane, where all is permitted. Up to now, he knows nothing at all about her, where she lives, what she does. Only now, Jay decides to find out all he can on his own, by deciding on an investigation of unforeseeable consequences for her, for himself, and for Andy, Claire?s husband.
