An uncommon portrait of a family whose life, for many years, has revolved around the world market in cinema. Horst Buchholz was a German, from Berlin, who grew up in a needy family and who all of a sudden, found himself in the condition of a film star. Horst?s son, Christopher, interviewed his father for four long years to produce this documentary. The family undertaking became a true cat and mouse chase in that Horst was exceedingly contradictory. He died unexpectedly in 2003 but, even so, with the assistance of his mother, Christopher completed the film.

Christopher Buchholz Son of actor Horst Buchholz and actress Myriam Bru, born on February 4, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. He was awarded a prize at the Florence Film Festival, in Italy, for his performance as actor in the film The Plot to Kill the Pope. He worked with great directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Peter Yates, and Claire Dennis. He began his career as director in 1993. Sandra Hacker was born in 1975, in Augsburg, Germany. She began her career as film director in 1998. Her films include Laughter is my Lady, Der Madendoktor (Dr Maggot).
