Over one thousand years ago, a truce was decreed between the two sides of the Universe: Light and Darkness. The Night Watch are responsible for safeguarding humanity and keeping a balance between these two forces. A prophecy states, however, that the birth of a chosen one" will foreshadow an apocalyptic battle

TIMUR BEKMAMBETOV

Born in Russia on June 25, 1961. He majored in cinema by the A.N. Ostrovsky Institute of Cinematographic Arts. He was a scenographer for the Ilkhorn Theater and for the Uzbekfilm Studio. He has been one of the most successful directors of publicity films and videoclips. His first feature was The Peshwar Waltz, from 1994, that earned him the prize for best director at the Karlovy Vary Festival. The Arena, from 2001, was his second feature.
