The Etxebeste family proudly announces to all the neighbors that they will spend their holidays in Marbella, a Spanish resort. The trouble is that, on the day of the trip, they realize they are flat broke, without so much as a cent to go on the famous trip. But they can hardly go back on what they have announced. After all, what would the neighbors say? The family is decided to keep up the farce: they pack their bags, get into the car, say good-by to everyone, and hit the road. At midnight, however, they silently return home, having thought out a plan: to spend the holidays locked up inside the house, when everyone believes they are in Marbella.
