Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1975. He directed the documentaries Celui au Pasteur (Ma Vision Personnelle des Choses) (2000) and La Parade (Notre Histoire) (2002). In 2004, he made his first fiction feature, Garçon Stupide, followed by Un Autre Homme (2008), Low Cost (2010), Bon Vent Claude Goretta (2011) Longwave (2013, 37th Mostra) and Vanity (2015), presented at film festivals like Locarno and Warsaw. He is also vice-president of the Cinémathèque Suisse foundation board and vice-president of Visions du Réel film festival foundation.
