Kamran is a student in low spirits and unenthusiastic about life. He spends his time with a schoolmate, Mansour, who is somewhat more cheerful by nature. The two of them wander the streets of Teheran, stealing, to get around the difficulties they have to endure. When Kamran is obliged to leave the place where he lives, he shares a cheap hotel room with Mansour. When they no longer have any money, they find shelter in an abandoned car. One day, they meet a girl from the women’s university, Aida, much more experienced and self assured than they themselves are. Mansour is soon interested in Aida and resolves to win her. The problem is that he calls attention in the female dormitory where she lives and this leads to complications.

PARVIZ SHAHBAZI

Born in Khorramabad in 1962. He graduated as Cinema Director from I.R.I.B. College, in 1987. After directing several short films, he worked as Assistant to the Director in The White Balloon (19th Mostra, in 1995). His first film as Director, in 1996, was The Traveler from the South, awarded a number of prizes worldwide. He was co-author of The Diplomat that same year.
