In a moment of rage and despair, Harald does something he has been planning

to do for a long time: he kidnaps his own daughter Lisa. He had lost his

permission to visit her three years before, after having been accused of

aggression and child abuse. In the long and difficult escapade through the

frozen heights of Norway, Harald seeks reconciliation with this child of

seven. With the police and his irate ex-wife, hard on his heels, he will

have to face yet another difficulty: the girl has become his most

troublesome opponent. She does not want to share her father?s dream of a new

life in another country. Only one of the policemen in his pursuit believes

in his innocence.

Nascido em 1967, começou sua carreira como jornalista. Depois de graduado pela Faculdade de Cinema e Televisão da Universidade do Sul da Califórnia, nos EUA, passou a dirigir comerciais, vídeos musicais, curtas e documentários. Ilha das Trevas é seu primeiro longa.
