In Reykjavik, Iceland, three separate narratives portray three members of the Bardl family, always involved in secrets: Karl, the patriarch, is retired gentleman who has taken a liking to a cinema actress with amnesia. Julia, his granddaughter, is in doubt between her love for a bank manager and for a wild sailor. She tells both she is pregnant, even though she is not sure of this. Steingerdur, Julia’s mother, becomes involved with a priest with problems of alcoholism and finds herself beside a stripper lying dead in her Jacuzzi. The three characters and their stories criss-cross in a continuous crescendo to end in a hilarious, explosive finale.

Born in 1971. Writer and director, he has directed a large number of music videos, short films and documentaries. In 1995 he formed the production house Pluton Film with Freyr Einarsson and Ingi R. Ingason. Fiasco is his first feature.
