John Carpenter`s Ghosts of Mars

Mars in the year 2176. Inhabited by human colonizers for decades, the red planet has become the obscure and dangerous destination for those who one day inhabited the Earth that is today overpopulated. 640 000 people live and work in outposts in Mars, exploring the planet in search of its abundant natural resources. In one of their excavations, the miners accidentally bring back to life a civilization of Martian warriors that are apparently invincible. Determined to rid Mars of the Earthlings, the Martians systematically take possession of their bodies. Meanwhile, implacable lieutenant Melanie Ballard from the Mars Police Force is on a mission to capture James “Desolation” Williams (Ice Cube), the most notorious delinquent on the planet. He is not going to make Ballard’s job any easier. What began as a dispute for power between a policewoman and a criminal soon becomes a bloody battle for human survival and for flight from a doomed planet.
