Simon is a mysterious man tormented by his past. One day, he decides to return to Iceland with intent to put an end to his life. Before he can do so, however, he meets a young woman, Dúa. She believes she is his sister. Dúa is in trouble with the police, and Simon leaves off his intent to commit suicide to help her. Together they flee to Hamburg, and abscond with a precious relic from the Vikings, smuggled in with them: an Icelandic falcon. The plan is to sell it to wealthy Arabs. Although falcons are much sought after, however, Simon and Dúa are to find difficulties in passing it on ahead. The photography highlights the frozen mountains of Iceland.
