Kyushu, southeast of the Japanese archipelago, is blazing hot. A bus belonging to the town hall has been hi-jacked, Only three survivors emerge from the tragedy: the driver Makoto, student Kozue and her older brother, Naoki. Two years later, Kozue and Naoki are alone in the house. The bus driver is still under the effects of the trauma from the incident and makes his appearance on the scene, having made up his mind to live with them and help around the house. When a woman?s body surfaces on the edge of the river, the driver is suspect. Filmed in black and white, Eureka goes over the shocks and traumas generated by gratuitous crime such as the attempt using gas in the Tokyo subway. This is a film on the drama three human beings uneasy through a chance event and the need to re-start life anew. This is a road movie traveling through innermost man.
