A legendary film producer is on his death bed, spending his last days in his Hollywood mansion, remembering the days when he was powerful and fawned upon. He knows his end is nigh and gradually comes to believe his memories are historically important and that he must provide for a witness for the future. He thus persuades one of his three children to get together a film crew and to record up to his very last moments on this earth. The situation also places in evidence the conflicts between the three sons, struggling to show how very different they are from their decadent father. In this effort, it is soon obvious how far this new generation is from achieving emotional maturity for adult living.

CHRISTOPHER JAYMES

Born in 1973, in California (USA). Actor, director, writer, producer, and editor, Christopher Jaymes has lately written a novel on the effects of the tsumani on Thailand, having spent six weeks there. The Reel,his first short film as director, was made in 1999. In Memory of My Father is his first feature.
