Juan Desouza is on a run-of-the-mill, one-day business trip to the country. Upon reaching his destination, he discovers that the man travelling at his side is dead. Secretly, he decides to adopt the dead man’s identity. He invents a profession for himself and finds a hotel room to stay over for a few days. With his new found freedom, Juan embarks on an adventure into a new world, into the rediscovery of his senses and instincts. On his journey of self-discovery, it becomes clear that the life he has been living was never his only choice.

ARIEL ROTTER

Born in Argentina in 1971, he graduated at Universidad del Cine, in Buenos Aires. He released his debut feature, Just for Today, in 2001. The Other (2007, 31st Mostra), his second feature film, won the jury grand prix at the Berlin International Film Festival. Produced, among others, Las Acacias (2010, 35ª Mostra). Incident Light is his third fiction feature.
