Up to the age of 40, the mother of two children, Olga was a woman who was happily married. Until the day when, suddenly, Mário, her husband, abandons her. His plans to leave home were so carefully drawn up, that she never suspected of anything at all. This is the reason she cannot accept the new situation, much less stay rational. Substituted by a much younger woman, she is in despair and cannot fathom what on earth she must do with her life. Based on the novel by Elena Ferrante.

ROBERTO FAENZA

Diretor e escritor, Roberto Faenza estudou na Federal City College,em Washington, e na Universidade de Pisa. Realizou seu primeiro filme, Escalação( Escalation),em 1968. Em 1977,ele dirigiu Forza Italia!,um documentário em longa-metragem construído de forma a contestar os 30 anos de domínio da democracia cristã em seu país.Um de seus trabalhos mais recentes é Copkiller (1983), com Harvey Keitel.
