It is the most bio-diverse region in the world, often dubbed “the lungs of the Earth.” Yet with each passing day its destruction looms closer. Keepers of Eden, an investigative documentary, presents the story behind the Huaraoni tribe who has inhabited the rainforests of Ecuador for ages, a people now in danger

of being erased.

YORAM PORATH

Based in New York City, the Israeli filmmaker has exhibited his works in major museums, galleries, art festivals and magazines. In the documentary field, he has established himself serving as the leading photographer/writer of National Geographic in Israel. He published more than 20 reportages in the past few years, illustrated by his lyric photographic style. His stories focused on human rights, political, and environmental issues. He covered documentary stories about Bedouins, Alawis, Roman gypsies and other cultural groups under threat of extinction. Keepers of Eden is his first long-length documentary.
