An imaginary journey over the course of ten scripts that were never filmed, of personalities famous in the world of art as described in the book Anthologie du Cinéma Invisible, by Christian Janicot, who paid tribute to one hundred years of cinema. Film maker Kees Hin imagined what some of these stories might be - such as that of writer Alfred Döblin (author of Berlin Alexanderplatz), who wrote a fantastic story about the thawing out of the polar ice cap in Greenland; and that of painter Fernand Léger, who thought how terrible it must be for a camera to film a single point in space for 24 hours straight; and of how painter Yves Klein intended to make a film about the color blue; and the story of Russian poet Ossip Mandelstam who fancied making an ironic portrait of the fire brigade.
