Marco is a lonely handicapped Spanish smuggler, driving through Brazil to sell out his cheap goods. When two bandits assault him and steal his load he is miraculously saved by Carmo, a beautiful local girl who would rather die than spend another day in the small town where she lives. Carmo and Marco will start a lawless, reckless journey and an intense romance through a South America border landscape.

MURILO PASTA

He has lived and worked in the United Kingdom. He received his MA in screenwriting from the London College of Communication. In 2000, he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for best short film for The Tale of the Rat that Wrote. He has directed several short films in UK, such as Sniffers and Future via Hope. He was the first Latin American filmmaker to direct British television drama for the BBC, Channel-4 and Sky Television. Carmo - Hit the Road, his first feature film, competed in the section World Cinema of Sundance Festival.
