To remain in Madrid during the torrid month of August is for the few. At this time, relationships are strained, more stressful, the unpredictable liable to happen - nerve racking for men and women. One of the few to hold steady is taxi driver Hassan, from Morrocco. He has not as yet grasped the workings of the Spanish mind and is to be the lead in a comedy that includes characters such as Estrella, a television journalist who will go to any lengths for a good story; Oscar, an advertising agent newly out of a job; and Isabel, a judge, who seems more concerned with her plants than with the fate of those around her.
