Britney Baby, One More Time

A film based on the real life of Robert Stephens, actor and dancer in commemorative parades in Disneyland who became famous in 1999 when he won first place in a competition for a double for Britney Spears in his home town, Glendale, California. As a prize, he was awarded a cell phone, tickets for a local show given by the singer, access backstage, and a chance to meet the pop idol in person. The production, however, does not think it at all amusing when a TV channel mistakes Robert for the real Britney. Meanwhile, the much awarded director of independent films Dude Schmitz is in urgent need of cash. The cast for his last film has not as yet been paid, and he is once more in difficulties. Here, then, is hope, when a local TV director offers him a grand opportunity: an exclusive interview with Britney. Dude, however, ruins everything when he asks her one of his cruel, indiscrete questions. At a dinner, Dude meets Robert and decides to organize a “Britney Spears tour”, using her double. Here is the chance for the director to sort himself out financially and for Robert to make his dream of “being Britney” come true.
