The enigmatic and unique Marlon Brando and his trademarks (the unmistakable voice, the good looks and the personal eccentricities) are examined in a new original portrait that explores the mysteries behind one of Hollywood’s most-respected screen legends. The documentary features never-before-seen footage and a series of in-depth interviews from family members and a wide variety of Hollywood celebrities (among them, Martin Scorsese, Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Edward Norton, Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Duvall, Jane Fonda, John Travolta, Dennis Hopper, Sean Penn, and Arthur Penn).

Leslie Grief - He was born at July 30th1960 in Hollywood, California. He made his feature film-directing debut with the noir mystery Keys to Tulsa (1997). He created the breakout reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels and co-directed and executive produced the TV series Walker, Texas Ranger. Greif also executive produced the critically acclaimed documentary Steve McQueen: the Essence of Cool (2005) and directed Funny Money (2006). Mimi Freedman - She was born in Toledo, state of Ohio (USA), in 1961. She got her master’s degree in Film History, Theory and Criticism from UCLA. Since then she has created more than 50 non-fiction films, television specials and series episodes. Brando is her second film for Turner Classic Movies: in 2005 she directed Steve McQueen: the Essence of Cool. Other projects include the awarded Backstory: How Green Was My Valley (2001) and Charlie Sheen: Born To Be Wild.
