Uros is a gipsy boy living in a state of anxiety at his impending liberation from the juvenile delinquent center, his abode for many a year. As the day when he is to be freed grows nigh, he is more and more in a state of anguish, because he does not know what his life will be like outside. Mainly because it was always his own father who forced him to steal.

EMIR KUSTURICA

Born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, in 1955. He studied film direction in Prague in the 70`s, and comeback to Sarajevo to work at local television. The 25th Mostra made a retrospective of his films in 2001. He directed, among others, the feature films Do You Remember Dolly Bell? (1981), When Father Was Away on Business (1985, Golden Palm at Cannes), Time of the Gypsies (1989), Arizona Dreams (1993), Underground (1995, Golden Palm at Cannes), Black Cat, White Cat (1998), Life is a Miracle (2004) and Promise Me This (2007).
