One day in the lives of two children, Bilu and João, in their struggle for survival, collecting scraps of cardboard and metal in the streets of São Paulo. Empty cans, pieces of old boxes, and old nails, things that other people throw away, to them, are veritable treasures. With no time to live out their childhood as they should, even so,they try and keep their imagination alive and not give up dreaming of a better future.

KÁTIA LUND

Born in São Paulo. She is co-director of City of God (2002), with Fernando Meirelles. She was also assistant director in films such as News from a Personal War (1999), by João Moreira Salles, and Gêmeas (1999), and Me, You, Them, both by Andrucha Waddington.
