Two characteristics differentiate pianist Igor Mesyatsev from most men. The first is his musical talent, which ranks him as almost superhuman. The musician is also outstanding for his unconditional devotion to his family. One day, however, this harmony is to simply vanish. Mesyatsev, all at once, falls in love with another woman - Lyulya - young, beautiful, and independent. The musician discovers he is a human being, and that he is susceptible to the changes life is to bring. What he could never have dreamed of is the avalanche of situations and feelings about to descend on him. The apex of the transformations is the death of his son, age 18, a drug addict. The death of his son casts him into despair and undermines all of his beliefs. A renewal of hope is to depend on a new fact in his life.
