The Art of Stealing

Chico and Fuentes are two small-time crooks that live off cons and robberies. Even though Chico considers himself a master of crime, almost all his plans fail. They have both lived most of their lives in the USA : Chico is a Portuguese emigrant and Fuentes is Spanish. Since they are already “burned” in “Uncle Sam’ land”, they decide to go to Europe in search of the perfect con. Portugal is the perfect place for it due to Chico’ Portuguese roots. Already in Portugal, after a new failed attentive robbery, they are contacted by an old, strange butler, Augusto, that hires them to rob an estate. The estate belongs to a Countess for whom he works for over 35 years. This time around the plan seems perfect : Chico believes that he finally is going to achieve his biggest dream: to make his final job and write his name in the encyclopedia of crime. But destiny has other plan.
