A beautiful, intelligent, and successful young woman, the director of an art gallery in Santiago, Chile, Antonia falls into a deep depression. When she finds she is pregnant by her boyfriend Sebastián, a dreamer and acknowledged photographer, she becomes worse and begins to re-think life. In fact, her love affair has gradually faded away with the years, partly through a lack of time and of communication between the couple. Antonia is thinking in terms of abortion and commiting suicide when Martin, a former boyfriend from her teens, comes onto the scene. He had joined the ETA terrorism of the Basque separatist army in Spain and was exiled for 12 years, but eventually deserted. The encounter may re-construct life for both.
