The film is set in a city, somewhere in Russia, devastated by organized crime and by post-perestroika capitalist savagery. Major Korenev who was imprisoned for years, returns to his city. A former policeman, he finds himself in the epicenter of a fight between rival gangs. AntiKiller is based on the novel by the same name by Daniel A. Koretsky, published in 1995. The author is a police colonel and a doctor in law who works as minister of the interior of his country and who is one of the most popular authors of police stories in Russia. The novel has sold over 5 million copies and became a kind of guide used by the Department against Organized Crime, against the Russian mafia, today one of the largest in all of the world. This is a first adaptation of a novel by Koretsky for the screen.
