A study on the foremost director in the history of Iranian cinema presented as a complete artist: poet, painter, photographer, and film maker. The film presents an analytical approach to Kiarostami’ work and shows the stages in his process of creation. The main document of the film includes two interviews with Kiarostami: the first in 2001, on the Isle of Arran, and the second during the Cannes Festival in 2002. Interwoven with these are analyses of the film maker’ work by critics such as Alain Bergala, Godfrey Cheshire, Michel Ciment, Adrian Martin, Jonathan Rosenbaum, and friends such as Marin Karmitz, Jamsheed Akrami, and Mohammad Attebai.
