Born in France in 1960. She ran the local film club and dropped out to go to Los Angeles. She was assistant director in A Room in Town (1982), by Jacques Demy and edited Vagabond (1985), by Agnès Varda. She directed the feature films Thick Skinned (1988), Travolta and Me (1993, 19th Mostra), The King’s Daughters (2000), Basse Normandie (2004), Of Women and Horses (2011) and Paul Sanchez is Back (2018), presented and awarded at film festivals like Cannes and Locarno.
