Fifty years after the premiere of Death in Venice, Björn Andrésen, the former teen star who once
embodied legendary character Tadzio in Luchino Visconti’s masterpiece, takes us on a remarkable
journey of personal memories, cinema history, stardust and tragedy in what could be Björn’s last
attempt to finally get his life back on track.

Kristina Lindström
Kristina Lindström

Filmmaker, journalist and author. Among her work as an author, is the trilogy about Swedish history. As a filmmaker, she has directed several documentaries, including Palme (2012) and the TV works Astrid Lindgren (2014) and Silence (2020).

Kristian Petri
Kristian Petri

Born in Ärtemark, Sweden, in 1956. His two shorts films, Once Upon a Time (1991) and The Crack (1992), were both selected for the Critics` Week at Cannes Film Festival. His first feature film, Between Summers (1995), was screened at the 19th Mostra and at Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. He also made, among documentaries and fictions, Lighthouse (2000), Tokyo Noise (2002), Details (2003), Bad Faith (2010) and Winter Light Revisited (2018), in addition to numerous television productions.
