São Paulo. In the fourth-largest city in the world, where “pichação” (a specific kind of graffiti) covers more walls and buildings than anywhere else on the planet, Trinchas commands a group of graffiti artists (know as “pichadores”), who scale the tallest buildings to make their mark. When Trinchas meets Valéria, an art student, their worlds collide resulting in the invasion of the 28th Arts Bienal of São Paulo. From then on, “pichação” took its place in the art world and the invisible young people from the periphery became the protagonists of a controversial cultural debate.
