In 1928, a penniless Soviet refugee who dreamed of making a career in Hollywood, escaped from the Soviet Union because of a political incident involving Sergei Eisenstein and Stalin. He assumes the identity of baron Koberski and falls in love with a wealthy young vampiress, miss Flambow-Jansen, spending the summer at the seaside luxury Baltic residence with her awkward servant —with unforeseen consequences in this political vampire comedy.

Presented at the Encounters section at Berlin International Film Festival and at Rotterdam International Film Festival.
