Teenagers Maya and Jana are inseparable. Headstrong Jana usually takes the lead and Maya follows. Jana convinces Maya to post a video with Elena, the most popular girl in school, having sex with Maya’s long term crush. When it goes viral, Elena’s life is ruined. A heated confrontation between the three girls leaves Elena missing. Maya wants to go to the police but that isn’t what Jana wants. Maya becomes her new target and must find the courage to get out of her toxic relationship and the secret that threatens to ruin her life.

Dina Duma

Born in Skopje, North Macedonia, in 1991. She graduated in film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2014 and, in 2016, attended Berlinale Talents. Dina made short films like They Come from the Center of the World (2017) and Without Love (2018). Sisterhood is her first
feature film.
