Luz is a member of the Embera Chami indigenous community. She left her home territory years ago after discovering she had had her clitoris mutilated. Cut off from her world; she tries to live the traditions she still remembers of her culture. Her only friend is Claudia, also Embera, who is the only link to her people. Motivated by the deep sadness of her friend Luz, Claudia undertakes a trip to the territory to dialogue with other women of her ethnic group about the dilemma they are facing.
