"Ricardo Bär is a young man who lives with his family on a farm in the Argentine province of Misiones, at the Brazilian border, where descendants of German immigrants who, despite several generations of living there, continue to sing German songs. Ricardo leaves behind his youth to enter the adult world, but, unlike the rest of the young men there, he doesn’t want to work the soil; he wants to become a pastor."
