During the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, a team of American filmmakers had their equipment stolen at the Carnival block where they were filming. The thieves, from Morro do Pavãozinho, decide to make a film themselves, with Inconfidência Mineira as their theme. The community adhere to the idea with the same spirit of preparing a samba school, with the exception of Silvério, who preferred to sell the equipment and share the money. The film is made but the police retrieve the equipment and arrest the thieves. The Americans take the film to the United States, releasing it under the title Sweet Thieves, with public and critic success.
